Responsible Sourcing Program Manager

Madhu leads The Circulate Initiative’s multi-year program focused on ensuring the responsible sourcing of recycled plastics from emerging markets.

Madhu has over ten years of experience in the Indian social impact sector, focusing primarily on climate action.

Previously, Madhu served as the Director, Climate and Sustainability at Social Alpha, where she incubated and supported in scaling early-stage startups in waste management and processing. Madhu also built collaborative initiatives for venture acceleration of startups, establishing key partnerships to advance an inclusive circular economy in India. As the State Coordinator, Karnataka at Climate Parliament, she worked closely with the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, supporting the network of legislators and members of parliament to promote low carbon pathways. Here, she designed and facilitated policy dialogues within India and at international parliamentary forums with the MPs of the Governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, Jordan, and the United States, among others.

Madhu holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources Management from Teri School of Advanced Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, and Zoology from Mount Carmel College, India.
