Eco-Business Lunch & Learn: Circular Innovations for Managing Asia’s Waste Problem

Hosted by Eco-Business, the Lunch & Learn session focused on waste management in Asia and how countries in the region could scale up circular innovations as the world approached the first session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-1) to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (ILBI).

The Circulate Initiative’s Research Director, Umesh Madhavan, joined as a guest speaker to unpack Asia’s plastic pollution problem and existing market gaps hindering progress towards circularity. He also highlighted emerging circular solutions and provided perspectives on how innovative finance mechanisms and policies can advance solutions in the region
