Responsible Sourcing Initiative Indonesia Project Launch
The Circulate Initiative officially launched the Responsible Sourcing Initiative implementation project in Indonesia during a two-day event in Jakarta, bringing together local recyclers, waste worker associations, government representatives, and global companies. As the second implementation market following Viet Nam, the Responsible Sourcing Initiative aims to improve the livelihoods of informal waste sector workers in Indonesia and promote responsible sourcing practices across the plastics recycling supply chain.
By 2026, the initiative seeks to enhance the livelihoods of 50,000 waste workers while encouraging global brands and stakeholders to adopt sustainable practices within their supply chains in Indonesia and beyond.
