Sustainability Week Asia

Economist Impact’s Sustainability Week Asia brings together industry leaders, policy-makers, entrepreneurs, and researchers from across Asia Pacific to discuss how they can effectively measure, analyse, transform, and scale their sustainability initiatives.

The Circulate Initiative’s Director of Impact and Insights, Ellen Martin, joined experts from H&M Group, Globe Group, and Economist Impact for a virtual session titled “Promoting the S in ESG.” The panel discussed how social issues are affecting businesses and the environment, as well as the strategies adopted to measure and deliver impact. Specific to the plastic waste management and recycling sector, Ellen highlighted the importance of empowering and uplifting informal waste workers as the world advances on its transition to circularity.
