UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum

The Circulate Initiative participated in the UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum, Asia-Pacific, where we hosted a session titled “VOICES of Waste Pickers: Responsible Business in the Plastics Recycling Supply Chain in Practice.” The session focused on inclusive responsible sourcing practices, the role of governments and businesses, and the importance of protecting the rights of informal waste sector workers and waste pickers within the plastics recycling supply chain. It highlighted the critical need for collective action to address these issues and foster a more equitable and sustainable system.
