UNEP Plastics Initiative Multistakeholder Knowledge-Sharing Meeting on Plastic Pollution
Conducted as a closed-door meeting to support Member States in the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4) meetings in Ottawa, the meeting covered several topics, including chemicals and polymers of concern, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and the financial landscape. The Circulate Initiative’s Research Director, Umesh Madhavan, participated in the meeting as a subject matter expert to share his perspectives on the role of financing and, in particular, of private capital to tackle the plastic pollution challenge.
