Research by Anthesis points to plastic pollution solutions

A report from plastic pollution NGO the Circulate Initiative, researched in partnership with UK-headquartered global sustainability consultancy Anthesis Group, has made recommendations for improving waste management in developing countries, specifically to reduce plastic waste.

The report draws on data from a recent OECD publication showing that, if no steps are taken, the annual leakage of plastic into the environment will double to 44 million tonnes a year by 2060. This is based on research from 12 large cities in India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
