The Circulate Initiative Announces Appointment of Two New Board Members
The Circulate Initiative, a non-profit organization committed to solving the ocean plastic pollution challenge, announced today the appointment of Jeep Kline and Ariel Muller to its board of directors.
Drawing on their diverse backgrounds and experiences, Jeep and Ariel will support The Circulate Initiative as it works to solve the ocean plastic pollution challenge by creating more circular, inclusive and investible waste management and recycling systems in emerging markets.
Commenting on the appointments, Michael Sadowski, Interim Executive Director of The Circulate Initiative, said, “I am excited to welcome Jeep and Ariel, two recognized industry leaders, to the Board. Their wealth of experience in sustainability, impact investing and technology will greatly benefit The Circulate Initiative in our mission to overcome the ocean plastic pollution challenge.
Jeep Kline
Educated in both Thai and U.S. systems and with a long-standing track record in technology and entrepreneurship, Jeep Kline is currently a Partner of MrPink VC, an impact venture fund targeting South American entrepreneurs. She is also founder of SeaSky Lab, a project that bridges knowledge and resources from Silicon Valley to Asia for tech entrepreneurs. A guest lecturer in the Sustainable and Impact Finance Group at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Jeep also serves as the lead ambassador to 48 countries in the Asia-Pacific region for UC Berkeley’s accelerator Skydeck. Jeep’s previous experience includes roles at international organizations such as the World Bank, where she implemented technology projects in South America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe and Intel Corp, where she created the company’s first android table for emerging economies. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, an MA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Economics from Chulalongkorn University.
Jeep’s previous experience includes roles at international organizations such as the World Bank, where she implemented technology projects in South America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe and Intel Corp, where she created the company’s first android table for emerging economies. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, an MA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Economics from Chulalongkorn University.
Ariel Muller
Ariel Muller is Managing Director for Asia at Forum for the Future, an international sustainability non-profit with deep expertise in designing and delivering change programs based on the principles of systems change. Drawing on her deep understanding of the Asia region, current programs focus on natural climate solutions in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Previously Ariel was Sustainable Business lead at Helsinki Group in New York, a collaborative innovation firm that helped organizations build capacity for change and transformation. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Parsons New School in a program that integrated design thinking, systems thinking, urban policy and environmental science, and has designed and delivered sustainability programs for Fortune 100 companies with Saatchi and Saatchi S. She holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Presidio Graduate School.
