Overview
We work with an extensive ecosystem of global, regional and local partners to develop and implement new programs that address systemic barriers in the plastics circular economy. Our selected programs address distinct challenges in the sector, from building robust and responsible supply chains, to advancing circularity in urban cities.
Responsible Sourcing Initiative
The Responsible Sourcing Initiative is a multi-year program focused on addressing human rights issues in plastic recycling supply chains, with targets to improve the lives of 50,000 waste workers and secure the commitment of 25 global brands, investors, and recyclers.
Urban Ocean®
Urban Ocean is a capacity building and accelerator program to end ocean plastic pollution and build more resilient communities in cities jointly managed by Ocean Conservancy, Resilient Cities Network, and The Circulate Initiative.
NextWave Plastics
NextWave Plastics is a member led, collaborative and open source initiative of leading multinational companies convened by The Circulate Initiative and co founded and amplified by Lonely Whale.
